Parade Band Music Requirements
- Parade Competition is held on the streets of Downtown
Disney. The Judging area is approximately 600 feet in length
and 30 feet wide.
- Bands must not perform selections pertaining to competing
area theme parks.
- All bands must be in uniform. Matching shirts with collars
with matching pants are permitted. Jeans and T-Shirts are
not permitted.
- Forward motion must be maintained at all times. Special
steps, tempo changes and formation changes are allowed
in the judging area as long as the group does not stop.
- Judges will be located on either side of the band, but
will not enter the band formation.
- Auxiliary Units may not let equipment leave the hand
at any time and flags should have only 45 degree angle
work expect in the judging area, where spins are permitted.
- Bands are encouraged to play throughout the judging area
and as much as possible while in the park after leaving
the judging area. Bands will be escorted through the parade
route and throughout the park and will return to their
original staging area.
